Orders, delivery, returns and products
Where do you ship?
We deliver to European destinations only, including the United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland. If a country is not available at checkout, we are not yet able to ship there.
How long does delivery take?
Paid, in-stock orders are normally processed within one business day. Our general estimated transit time for European destinations is 2–4 business days after dispatch. Deliveries to Sweden, Denmark and Finland often arrive within 1–3 business days. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates.
How much does shipping cost?
Tracked delivery within Europe costs €7.90. The shipping charge for your order is always shown at checkout before you pay.
Can I track my order?
Yes. All orders are sent with tracked delivery. After dispatch we email a shipping confirmation with tracking details where these are available.
Where are orders sent from?
Orders are prepared, packed and dispatched by our logistics partners in Denmark, Finland and Estonia. Your order may be dispatched from any of these locations.
Will I have to pay customs charges?
Orders delivered outside the EU may require customs clearance. If a shipment is held by customs, contact us so that we can help with shipment information and documentation.
How can I pay?
You pay by card at our secure checkout. Prices are in euros.
Can I return my order?
Yes. You may withdraw from an eligible purchase within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. Contact support@nordicnita.com with your name and order number. You are responsible for the return shipping cost for a change-of-mind return.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us at support@nordicnita.com with your order number and we will put it right. The details are on our returns and right of withdrawal page.
Which products do you sell?
Whole dried caps of three species: Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) in 25 g, 50 g and 75 g boxes, Amanita pantherina (panther cap) in 10 g boxes and Amanita regalis (royal fly agaric) in 15 g boxes.
Why do you sell only whole caps?
Whole caps let you see exactly what you are buying, because the cap's shape, surface and structure stay visible. We work only with young, round caps, never stems, mixed material or powder.
Where are the mushrooms harvested?
In Nordic forests, including Finland and Sweden, from high summer to early autumn. The caps are dried close to the harvest area.
How are the caps dried?
On professional industrial drying equipment under controlled conditions. Amanita muscaria is dried at 35–40 °C, and Amanita pantherina and Amanita regalis at 50 °C.
Are your products laboratory tested?
Yes. Every batch is third-party laboratory tested for heavy metals and muscimol. Each box carries a QR code that you can scan to verify the laboratory results for your product.
How should I store dried Amanita, and how long does it keep?
Keep the caps in their original packaging, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is up to 2 years.
Is fly agaric dangerous for dogs and other pets?
Yes. Animals can be poisoned by mushrooms too. Keep the product out of reach of pets and children, and contact a vet straight away if a pet has eaten any.
What is Amanita muscaria called in other languages?
Fly agaric is the common English name for Amanita muscaria. It is called röd flugsvamp in Swedish, rød fluesvamp in Danish, rød fluesopp in Norwegian and punakärpässieni in Finnish.
